However, I wonder why you link to the AppStore for apps that are available through the developer's website as a trial version. Or for apps that are crippled in the AppStore, and available as an uncrippled version on the developer's site, like Dropzone 3 or DaisyDisk. Or for any app at all that is available directly from the developer, so you could get discounted upgrades, and allow the developer to increase revenue by around 35%. And before people start to explain that Apple only takes 30%: The dev makes 70ct per dollar when selling through App Store, and around 95ct otherwise (rest is for payment processing), so that is 35% more. So if you care for the developers, buy directly from them.
