very useful idea for my workflow, so thanks. 
I'd like to report one buglet and one crash case, though ...

1) in the template, you can't just name the top level file "%%1%%"; you need to preface the variable by a character. Otherwise the script will create a folder called ... "1%%". Not a major issue, but I don't want to preface all my project names by "project-"

2) the script will fail using InstantSend. It asks for the template and the variable name, but then ... nothing, with no message. I'm running LaunchBar 5.4.1(944) on OSX 10.8.2

The buglet is nothing much, but number 2 is a bit of a bummer ... and I'm not sure where I need to start to fix it. If you have an idea, I'd be all ears.
