There are also many options available through the services menu in AppleScript Editor. They are just AppleScripts that pop in the appropriate code for the AS feature. They work with and without selections.

I'm becoming increasingly forgetful and it'll take a while for these new macros to become embedded. I can see myself forgetting about the space numerous times before muscle memory kicks in. I only use the Script Editor from time to time, not every day.
