Hi Brett,

The md - Footnotes - Convert Inline Format workflow returned "The action “Run Shell Script” encountered an error."

And in automator the result returned 'scan' invalid byte sequence in us-ascii (argumenterror) ruby script. I guess it's related to the encoding thing since I wrote in Chinese.

Hi Brett --

I'm trying to kick the tires on Planter on OSX and am getting the following error. Is there some sort of bootstrapping necessary to get it installed and configured correctly?

Thx,

Ramon

I stuck in a fix and updated to 2.1.2, the download should be available in about 10 minutes. http://brettterpstra.com/pr...

Looks like that fixed the issue -- thanks. I note that the script chokes if the template includes an invalid path (e.g. with a '/' in it), but that's easy to fix. Thanks!

It appears to handle all unallowed characters with proper escaping _except_ for "/". I added a check and appropriate error message for that as I couldn't find a workaround for it. 2.1.3 has this, but that's the only addition.

Looks like a .to_s is needed on that scan call. I'll update the script when I get a chance, but feel free to play with line 166 with that.

sorry to ask this here, but both your treadmill/walking desk posts are closed for comments...

Is there a way to get your daily walking logs out of the LifeSpan app and maybe connect it to SyncMetrics?

Thanks!

I'm using my FitBit One in lieu of the LifeSpan app, so I've never tried.

Thanks, I am researching the FitBit One and its competitors, I think I will go this way, too. Are you using FitBits online app (with/without Premium) or do you get the data out of there?

Just using the online app. I think there's a Slogger plugin that would demonstrate how to get the data out, but I can't recall for sure.
