Interesting. I've been looking for something like this to manage my image collection on an external hard drive. I used to use Sparkbox from Icy Blaze but their recent update removed support for external drives to comply with Apple's sandboxing rules. Pixa with its Live Folders might be just the thing.
Why I would love to be winner: Because it would nicely complement my new Kaleidoscope, it would help a poor little student to be a bit more organized and the logo just reminds me of super mario meets mindcraft, that makes it a must have in my collection.
Pixa looks just like the crazy-awesome image uncluttering super app from the depths of my wildest dreams. Winning would make me feel like the hottest shrimp on the 'barbie (I'm Australian, best analogy I could think of).

this seems to be a good way to store my screen shots. i want one.
Tried the demo, it's pretty nice. I wish it had annotation and very basic editing for screenshots. Apparently that's in the works.
