I've been using bumpr for a while, because it seems to offer a similar function, and also allows me to choose which email program mailto links will open.
IMHO Finicky is much better, open source and has the killer feature of opening a specific Chrome Profile. The only thing "bad" about it is it's scripted (JS) so no GUI. Check it out!
I bought this back in 2009 and have had it set as my default browser ever since. It is amazing how good the original was--there have bene very few updates.
