Here in Georgia 30233, we began losing reception for WANF46 (and its substations) and WPCH17 (but not its substations) on 2/25/2024 around 9:00 am.
By 8:00 pm that evening the reception was completely gone.
Since their transmitter was upgraded in 2022 we have had no problems to speak of and we just need to determine if there is some outside disruption in our area or if there is some interference on their end.
Many thanks for any information.
Over-the-air CBS has been down in northern Arizona for about one week. I e-mailed CBS5 in Phoenix and they said: “Hello. Yes, Flagstaff 5 is down – it’s a problem on Mount Eden. We are working on it – but the snow is complicating the problem. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to write”. This reply is funny because snow on Mount Elden melted many weeks ago.
Every once in a while, but more and more frequently lately, while watching CBS over the air I get a black rectangle that takes up about half of my TV screen and shows either greater-than signs that keep getting added, one at a time, until the entire top line of the rectangle is filled, and then they stop, or the word "CBS." If I change channels for a few seconds and go back to CBS, the rectangle goes away, but only for a brief time, and then comes back. This does not happen on any other channel that I receive over the air.
