I'm so happy to see fresh nvALT versions, even if they have only surfaced to fix the recent crash plague. I would be happy to purchase nvALT (or a new similar product).

As other comments also state, there's a problem with the new update on El Capitan. I can navigate my notes, and type in the search field, but it crashes as soon as any change is made in a note. I don't get an error though, it just crashes, which is quite odd.

Unfortunately I am unable to make changes to any notes as it causes a crash.

Unfortunately this "update" brings a lot of unstable behavior ...
I.e. if I try to insert a simple "Return" in Note nvALT 2.2 will crash. Very annoying :(

It's horribly broken on El Capitan:

1) Window does not appear until I choose Search or Create from them menu
2) Horizontal layout interface issues: preview does not appear, items blank out after having been clicked. Switching to vertical layout and back resolves this.
3) Crash when I try to edit something. Removing and reinstalling the app does not resolve this.

How do I downgrade to the previous 2.2b? That one worked fine.

Is there a changelog detailing the bugfixes or new features?

Great little note taker. I just downloaded the latest Sierra version. It's fine but this seems odd:
If I have it run automatically at login, the About nvAlt menu item is greyed out as is the Quit nvAlt item. I have to Force Quit to quit and to shut down the Mac.

If I run it after login, all is fine.

Broken for me too. Late-2011 MBP with Sierra.
